Mixed martial arts and poker seem to be going hand in hand these days. With each fighter decked out like a Nascar driver, you are bound to catch more than a few advertisements for online poker sites in between all of the punching, kicking, and choking.
UB has recently announced that it is throwing its hat into the ring, so to speak, by forming an exclusive sponsorship alliance with the nationally televised Bellator Fighting Championships.
“We’re super excited to tie the new UB logo to Bellator — the hottest mixed martial arts success story of 2009 — and are proud to partner with them in their sophomore year,” said Paul Leggett, chief operations officer of Tokwiro, owner and operator of UB.net. “Last year, we watched from the sidelines as the new kid on the MMA block delivered some of the most explosive moments in televised fighting sports history. This year, we’re elated to jump in the cage as an active player in the Bellator phenomenon, while exposing the UB brand to more than 250 million homes across the U.S.”
Bellator will be televised on FOX Sports Net, NBC and Telemundo beginning April 8. With the new agreement, UB.net will be a prominent presence on all Bellator broadcasts and promotional events. In addition, the site will run tournaments where the players can win cage-side seats to future fights.
