German Students Design Exciting New Poker Game

Poker Surface Combines Mobile Phones and Touch Table for New Way to Play

Poker Surface TableAn invention by students from the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany explores a different way for poker players to interact with each other in a game.

The paper, written by the students was published on the ACM Portal, and discusses the student’s invention, Poker Surface, which combines multi-touch table and mobile phones in interactive card games.

Designed and built by the students themselves, the innovative game combines mobile phone gestures and multi-touch tabletop interactions.
