Borgata Spring Poker Open Begins This Weekend

Series Runs April 10-30

Borgata Spring Poker Open LogoThe Borgata Spring Poker Open begins on Saturday, April 10 at the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The first tournament is a $500 no-limit hold’em event with a $250,000-guaranteed prize pool that begins at 11 a.m. EDT. The $3,500 no-limit hold’em championship is the marquee event on the tournament schedule, and it begins on April 25. The championship has two starting days, and the prize pool is guaranteed to be at least $1 million. The tournament series will come to an end when the champion is crowned at the final table of this event on April 30.

An interesting feature at this year’s Borgata Spring Poker Open is the $8,000 East Coast Championship no-limit hold’em event. This three-day tournament begins on Tuesday, April 13, and it has a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000. Players will begin with 30,000 in chips, and the blinds begin at 25-50. Levels will be an hour and 15 minutes long.

The tournament series will spread no-limit hold’em, pot-limit Omaha, Omaha eight-or-better, seven-card stud eight-or-better, and H.O.S.E. Other no-limit hold’em variations will include six-handed and survivor formats, as well as ladies and seniors events. Check out the schedule below to see a full list of the tournaments. A super-satellite for the East Coast Championship will run on April 10-12 at 7 p.m. and the buy-in is $800. The $3,500 no-limit hold’em championships super satellites will run once daily on April 16, 17, and 22-24. The buy-in is $400. There will be three championship event satellites on April 25. They will run at noon, 3 p.m., and 7 p.m. The 3 p.m. satellite on April 25 is the only qualifier that will feature a $750 buy-in.

Players will begin with 30,000 in the championship event, and blinds begin at 25-50. Levels will be 75 minutes long and there will be a 10-minute break after every level. Here is a look at the full schedule for the $3,500 no-limit hold’em championship:
