Ongame Plans $5 Million-Guaranteed Online Tournament

More than 20 online poker rooms have pooled their power to create one of the largest guaranteed prize pools in online poker history. And the only way to get into the Ongame Network Poker Classic tournament is through the many satellites that will be held at the many sites that run Ongame's poker software.

Satellites for the $5 million-guaranteed tournament start Monday. The list of the 22 online poker rooms that are part of the Ongame Network and will be running satellites in the next several months appears at the end of this article.

Players can win a $5,200 tournament package for as little as $1. The winner of the tournament will receive more than $1 million. The Ongame Network Poker Classic will begin online at the end of the summer and go until the last 45 players are standing. The date hasn't been released yet.

Play will then be suspended until the final weekend of September. That's when Ongame will fly the final 45 players to the Casino de Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain, where the winner will be determined. The travel package is worth almost $5,000 for each player, which will not be taken from the prize pool. Ongame is picking up the traveling expenses for each player.
