International Poker Open 2010Europe’s largest live no-limit hold’em tournament is back and looks set to be even bigger than before. Boylepoker.com today announced the return of the International Poker Open which will take place from Oct. 15-17 at the Regency Hotel in Dublin.

The site is adding €20,000 to this year’s prize pool, which will push the estimated total to €250,000. To celebrate the launch, there will be a $1 + $0.10 buy-in freezeout tomorrow, Apr. 23 at 7.45 p.m. on Boylepoker.com, with two IPO tickets added to the prize pool.

Paul Spillane, Head of Poker at the site said, "Last year we set the record for the largest live tournament field ever assembled in Europe. With innovative twists like the additional VIP chips and €20,000 added value, we’re confident the 2010 event will prove just as popular and we expect another sell out field.”

The €180 + €20 buy-in freezeout will run for three days (including two starting days), and once again players have a chance to add 2,000 in chips to their 8,000 starting stack by playing on Boylepoker.com and earning VIP points in the run up to the event.

Those who register for the IPO in May can get the extra 2,000 chips by collecting 500 VIP points within the month. After this, from Jun. to Sept, those who earn 250 VIP points in one month can get their hands on 1,000 extra chips at the IPO, and if this is followed up by earning 250 VIP points in another month in this timeframe, then the player will sit down with the maximum of 10,000 chips in October.

On top of all this, players who successfully earn the extra 2,000 starting chips will be able to use their VIP points in Boylepoker.com’s exclusive freerolls.

Last year’s IPO was a complete success, attracting a record-breaking field of 1,440 runners from 18 countries. German Markus Sippe took home $62,250 for first place in the sold-out event. To avoid disappointment this year, players should register early.
