Conventions Aim to Get People Into the Online Gaming World

People interested in getting into the world of online poker beyond that of a player may want to take time off from work in September and December to head to two conventions focusing on the world of online gambling.

On September 14 and 15, the Casino Affiliate Convention will take place at the Stardust in Las Vegas. Registration for the event is $450 if registration occurs before June 30, $500 after Sept. 9, and $550 at the door. Speakers are still being lined up for this event.

Exhibitors include PokerShare.com, FullTiltPoker.com, 888.com, Safecharge, and GenieKnows.com.

Later in the year, the Poker Industry Conference and Exposition, a convention that covers the business of poker, focusing on management, marketing, and technology, takes place Dec. 7 and 8 at the Costa Rica Marriott Hotel in San Jose, Costa Rica.

The two-day conference and exposition will have presentations and seminars that focus on poker room management, new poker related technologies, marketing for poker, payment issues, and customer service.

Registration for the event is $350 if you register before July 30, $450 before Sept. 30, $550 before Oct. 31, $650 before Nov. 24, and $750 at the door.

Ticonderoga Ventures, Inc., the company organizing both conferences, is still looking for exhibitors and speakers for the Poker Industry Conference and Exposition. This is the second year in a row for both events.
