Daniel Alaei joins Diego Cordovez and Adam Schoenfeld on this week’s episode of The Scoop, brought to you by Full Tilt Poker.
The trio discusses how Alaei has managed to maintain such a low profile despite racking up more than $5.2 million in tournaments earnings, including three World Series of Poker bracelets and a World Poker Tour title.
At one point, Alaei explains how Billy Baxter helped him win a bracelet bet at his own expense in no-limit deuce-to-seven lowball.
“I made a bet with Billy Baxter that year,” he explained. “He laid me 10-1 on winning a bracelet and that was the last event before the main event. I never played this game before. He gave me like a five- or ten-minute little lesson. I quietly made it to the final table and took it down.”
