In the past week, two people have claimed a six-figure prize at the hands of the UB Bad Beat Jackpot
The first was a 60-year-old Texas woman with the screen name “KAPPIT,” who claimed $218,115.71 last Tuesday — when her quad nines were beaten by the quad queens of an opponent.
Her opponent, “CIBV,” was awarded $109,057.85 for winning the cooler. The seven other players at the table were awarded $1,000, and 610 players received just under $90 for playing the same stakes at the time.
A player with the screen name “RONNIEKIMMEL” also hit the jackpot in the past seven days. The unknown walked away with $115,730.34 for losing with quad eights or better on Sunday.
Almost $60 million in jackpot money has been awarded since the promotion began three years ago.
More than 12,000 players have benefited from the UB Bad Beat Jackpot this year alone.
