On-site registration begins at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 27, with the tournament starting at 4:15 p.m. The buy-in is $230. Ten percent of the buy-in goes to charity.
Celebrities confirmed to play in the tournament include: Phil Hendrie (host, AM 570's The Phil Hendrie Show and NBC's Teachers), Ryan Stiles (The Drew Carey Show and "Whose Line is it Anyway), Christopher Titus (Titus), Eric Millegan (Bones) and Nicholas Gonzalez (The O.C. and Law and Order: Special Victim's Unit).
The mission of My Friend's Place is to assist and inspire homeless teens to build self-sufficient lives. Founded in 1988, My Friend's Place serves over 1,000 homeless teens and their children each year with emergency resources such as food and clothing in combination with free health, therapeutic and educational services.
My Friend's Place is the only resource center for homeless youth in Southern California offering drop-in services seven days a week and is 100 percent privately funded.
Hendrie has been involved with My Friend's Place for the past 10 years by sitting on the board of directors. All the proceeds from his "best of" CD go to the organization.
