The World Series of Poker Circuit has returned to the tables of the Horseshoe Southern Indiana casino for its second stop of the 2010-2011 season.
Running October 2-12 in Elizabeth, Indiana, the schedule includes 10 gold ring events in a variety of games leading up to the $1,600 no-limit hold’em main event.
Players participating in these ring events can earn points toward the WSOP Circuit Cumulative Point System, and whoever wins the main event will automatically be invited to the 2011 WSOP Circuit National Championship. This championship will be a televised $1 million freeroll taking place at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas next May. The top 100 qualifiers from the WSOP Circuit season will be invited, and the top 10 finishers will get paid. The winner of this championship event will also receive a WSOP bracelet, marking the first time one will be up for grabs away from the World Series of Poker and World Series of Poker Europe.
So far the only players who have been guaranteed a seat in the national championship are Robert Georato and Blair Hinkle, who won the WSOP Circuit $1,500 main event during the season’s first stop in Council Bluffs, Iowa back in August.
The 3-day $1,600 main event at Horseshoe Southern Indiana starts Sunday, October 10.
CardPlayer.com will have live updates from the final table.
