The Netherlands is finally set to dismantle its online gambling monopoly and open up its online poker market to foreign companies according to Dutch newspaper Telegraaf.
Earlier this year a government commission recommended that online poker in the country be opened up to private operators, regulated and licensed.
Currently only the Dutch lottery can offer online gambling but the government could raise up to €270 Million by auctioning off licences to operate online poker sites to offer services to Dutch citizens.
