Dane Thomas Thang won the €1,500 + €150 buy in Unibet Open Valencia main event at the weekend taking down the £138,080 top prize for topping the 361-strong field in Spain.
The short heads up battle saw Thang and Germany’s Andreas Hoffman get all their chips in pre-flop with the Dane holding 8-8 and Hoffman holding A-10.
The flop fell 5-4-2 all hearts giving Hofmann two overs, a flush draw and a gutshot straight draw but he missed his numerous outs and Thang lifted the title.
