At the age of 23, Scott Fischman became the youngest player in history to win two World Series of Poker bracelets before the honor was taken from him by Jeff Madsen.
He grew up in Somers Point, New Jersey, but moved with his family to Las Vegas in 1992. He began his poker experience as a dealer at the Mirage and the Sahara. He often spent days working and nights playing. Perhaps a blessing in disguise, he developed rheumatoid arthritis and was forced to quit dealing. He then focused his efforts on becoming a professional poker player.
His WSOP bracelets came in the 2004 H.O.R.S.E. and $1,500 no-limit hold'em events. Later that year, he won the World Poker Tour winner-take-all, invitation-only Young Guns of Poker tournament. In 2007, Fischman narrowly missed the WPT televised final table at the Five-Star World Poker Classic. He finished eighth for almost $248,000. He also finished third at the 2007 Caesars Palace Classic main event for more than $245,000. In 2008, Fischman made the final table of the World Series of Poker Europe main event, cashing for over $305,000 and finishing in sixth place.
Fischman is also an avid online poker player, specializing in sit-and-gos and multitable tournaments.
