White's Stack Continues to GrowAug 01, '14 Allen Carter, Jackson White, and a third player took a flop of 555 in a raised pot. The unknown player led the action with a bet of 6,000. Carter called only to have White raise it up to 13,500 from the button. The original bettor let his hand go and Carter called. The 7 fell on the turn and both players checked, allowing the 10 to complete the board. Carter checked for a second time and White knuckled the table back. “Ace-high,” said Carter. It was no good, however, as White tabled 33 for a full house of fives full of treys. White took down the pot and now has about 170,000 in chips. Despite this hit, Carter is still sitting pretty with around 335,000. The dealer produced the Q on the river and Crosley flung 3,000 past the betting line. Carter thought for a moment before flat calling. “Just an ace,” said Crosley as he rolled over A5. Carter had that beat, however, with 98 for trip eights. He raked in the chips and now has about 305,000 to Crosley’s 195,000. Carter: J3 Morris was in a dominating position going to the flop, but that quickly changed after the dealer fanned 3Q9 on the felt, pairing Carter’s trey and giving him the lead. The 7 rolled off on fourth street, meaning Morris needed an ace on the river to score the elimination. The river was indeed the A, eliciting gasps from the duo’s tablemates. Carter was eliminated in 9th place and Morris increased his chips to about 900,000. Khosravi: AJ The board fell down T877Q, keeping Carter’s sixes in the lead. He scored the double up to about 360,000. Khosravi, on the other hand, was crippled to under 20,000. The flop was Q95 and Carter bet 75,000 after Lewis checked. Morris quickly moved all in for 325,000, Lewis folded and Carter snap-called. Carter was in the lead with his 99 and needed to fade a king or a diamond against Morris’ KK. The turn was the J, keeping Carter’s set in the lead, but the A river card gave Morris the nut flush and a double up to 790,000. Carter was left with just 110,000 as the level moves past its halfway point. Daniel Snowden three-bet to 25,000 from the button and Carter was the only caller. The flop was QJ6 and Carter check-called 20,000 from Snowden. The turn was the J and Carter led out for 41,000. Snowden didn’t waste too much time in calling and they watched the A peel off on the river. Both players checked and Snowden took the pot with his KK. “I figured you might have had two aces and I was going to go all in, but that river card stopped me,” said Carter. “I only had seven-high though.” Snowden chipped up to 370,000 while Carter dropped to 405,000. Meet Your Chip LeaderDec 10, '11 After taking a quick scan of the room, it has come to our attention that the current chip leader is none other than former WPT champion Allen Carter, who has somehow managed to amass nearly 70,000 in chips. We asked Carter shortly after the dinner break to describe the key hand of his tournament so far. “I raised up K3 preflop, then value bet bottom pair on the flop,” said Carter. “On the turn, I check-raised bottom pair and then on the river, I wound up making trips. I made a healthy value bet and managed to get paid.” Carter is one of the more accomplished players in this event, having over $1.6 million in career earnings on his poker resume. The majority of his winnings came in 2009 when he won the WPT Southern Poker Championship for a $1 million payday. Player Tags: Allen Carter |

The board failed to bring a ten and Carter was showed the down about 30 minutes before the end of play. Lichtenberger is now flirting with the 200,000 mark.
