Martin Fitzmaurice open-shoved before the flop for 455,000 and William Thomson called all in for 440,000 from the small blind.
Thomson was all in for his tournament life and ahead before the flop with A10 against Fitzmaurice’s A-9 offsuit.
The board came K5449, giving Thomson a flush on the river to win the pot and double up. Thomason doubled up to about 950,000 that hand while Fitzmaurice was left with just 15,000 behind.
On the very next hand, Fitzmaurice was all in with 107 against Bill Stabler’s AK.
The board came K83K6, giving Stable top pair on the flop and trips on the turn to win the hand and eliminate Martin Fitzmaurice in 8th place ($63,418).
The remaining seven players took a one hour dinner break at the conclusion of Level 27 and will return at approximately 8:00pm to resume play.
