Ivan Holmes Doubles
Mar 27, '15
Ivan Holmes was all-in preflop with the AJ against his opponent’s 1010.
The board ran out 8659A, pairing one of Holmes over cards on the river to give him the double up.
“Was there even any doubt?” asked tablemate Dustin Fox, in regards to whether or not Holmes was going to win the race.
“#$%^@* river rat!” said the player with the pocket tens good naturedly, but still with evident frustration.

Ivan Holmes Flops It
Mar 28, '15
With a flop of Q99 Jerry Morrell bet 1,200 when checked to and received two calls before it got back around to Ivan Holmes who made it 3,500 to go. Morrell and the first caller folded and only the player who started the hand under the gun preflop made the call.
The 4 hit the turn and the UTG player checked to Holmes who bet 6,900.
The bet was called and the 5 completed the board. Again the UTG player checked, and this time Holmes moved all-in, just barely having his opponent covered. His bet was indeed called and Holmes revealed the Q9 for the flopped full house, while his opponent showed the A9 for trips with the ace kicker.
With that Holmes busted his opponent and grew his stack to approximately 60,000.
