Arkadiy Tsinis Wins Event #38 ($540,136)Jun 25, '11 Michael Blanovsky Eliminated in 2nd Place ($336,253) Arkadiy Tsinis started the final heads-up match yesterday with a chip lead of 3:2 over Michael Blanovsky. Blanovsky lost quite a bit of those chips by the end of the night, but hung in there to force an unscheduled fourth day for this event. The two players came back this afternoon and once again, Tsinis held the lead with roughly 7.1 million to 2.7 million. Despite facing nearly a 3:1 chip deficit and choking blinds, Blanovsky managed to even out the stacks at one point, and even went on to steal the chip lead for himself with a pair of kings, essentially trading starting stacks with Tsinis. Tsinis almost instantly doubled back through to regain the chip lead and Blanovsky went downhill from there. Shortly after, he found himself calling all in for 2,000,000 before the flop with A 10 against Tsinis’ Q J. The board came 10 9 5 8 8, giving Tsinis a straight on the turn to win the pot. Michael Blanovsky was eliminated in 2nd place ($336,253) while Arkadiy Tsinis won the gold bracelet in Event #38 and the $540,136 grand prize.
