The river fell J and Schneider won the pot and the tournament with two pair. Scholl was eliminated in second place and took home $197,228. Schneider was the champion and first multiple bracelet winner of the summer. Schneider won the other HORSE event last week and that victory was good for $258,906. This win was good for $318,955 and he was awarded his fourth gold bracelet. Benjamin Scholl Wins Event no. 20 ($206,760)Jun 12, '12 Level: 27 Blinds: 40,000-80,000 Jeff Shulman Eliminated in 3rd Place ($92,562) Jeff Shulman returned from the break on the short stack with just 6 big blinds and was the next player eliminated. Shulman raised the button to 80,000 and Benjamin Scholl called from the big blind. The flop came Q82, Scholl checked, Shulman bet 40,000, Scholl raised to 80,000 and Shulman called the check-raise. The turn was the K and Shulman got it all in good with AK for top pair, top kicker against Scholl’s bottom pair with 98. Shulman was way out in front when the money went in, but Scholl spiked the 9 on the river to make two pair and win the pot. Jeff Shulman was eliminated in 3rd place ($92,562) while Scholl took the chip lead going into heads-up play with about 1.9 million. With the elimination of Jeff Shulman in 3rd place ($92,562), Benjamin Scholl took the chip lead going into heads up-play with 1,940,000 to Andrew Prock’s 550,000. Benjamin Scholl Wins Event no. 20 ($206,760) Benjamin Scholl entered heads-up play with nearly a 4:1 chip lead over his opponent Andrew Prock and quickly capitalized on that advantage. Scholl managed to grind him down to his last few big blinds before getting him all in on a paired board with an under pair against his top pair. Benjamin Scholl raised the button to 80,000, Andrew Prock reraised to 120,000 from the big blind and Scholl called. The flop came A76, Prock bet 40,000 and Scholl called. The turn was the 7, Prock bet all in for 15,000 and Scholl called. Scholl turned over A10 for top pair against Prock’s under pair with 33. The river was the 7, giving Scholl the higher full house on the river to win the pot and eliminate Andrew Prock in 2nd place ($127,773). Shulman managed to chip up as the level came to an end however, winning a big showdown against Andrew Prock with trip sixes. That hand was three-bet before the flop and raised on the turn and river. Shulman flopped a pair and rivered trips to chip up to about 570,000 (9.5 bbs). There was a lot of back and forth with Shulman this level and shortly after chipping up through Prock a few hands before, Shulman lost a big showdown to Benjamin Scholl’s flush. That hand knocked Shulman down to about 375,000 while Scholl maintained a strong lead over the field with about 1.5 million or roughly sixty-percent of the chips in play. Shulman managed to gain some back by the end of the level and will head into the break virtually tied for second with Andrew Prock at about 500,000 each (6 bbs). Woodward opened the pot to 80,000 from middle position and Benjamin Scholl called from the bog blind. The flop came Q42, Scholl checked, Woodward bet 40,000, Scholl raised to 80,000, and Woodward called all in. Scholl was ahead on the flop with a pocket pair of deuces for a set on the flop against Woodward’s over cards with 86.
