Live Updates:
George Fotiadis Eliminated in Fifth Place ($46,048)
Omaha Eight-or-Better
Matthew Ashton raised from the cutoff and Mike Gorodinsky called on the button. George Fotiadis also called on the big blind and the flop was dealt J65. Fotiadis checked, Ashton bet, and Gorodinsky called.
Fotiadis called all in for 18,000 and the turn fell 10. Action continued in the side pot with Ashton betting and Gorodinsky calling. The river delivered the 7 and Ashton checked. This time Gorodinsky bet and Ashton called. Ashton flipped over Q632 to win the low pot and Gorodinsky held K643 to take the high pot with a straight. That left nothing for Fotiadis and he was eliminated in fifth place. Ashton was close to a million after the hand and Gorodinsky held three-quarters of a million.
Owais Ahmed Eliminated in Fourth Place ($62,631)
Seven Card Stud Eight-or-Better
Kristopher Tong: (QQ) 5539 (8)
Owais Ahmed: (A7) K87Q (10)
Kristopher Tong posted the bring in and Owais Ahmed completed. Tong raised and Ahmed called. Tong led out on fourth, fifth, and sixth street and Ahmed called each and every time until he was all in for his tournament life on sixth street. The two pair held by Tong at the end of the hand was good enough to scoop the pot and eliminate Ahmed in fourth place. Tong held 1.4 million after the hand.
