Irish poker player Andy Black has seen it all. He started playing as a university student for sandwiches, and he quickly realized that he loved the game and began playing on a full-time basis. After establishing himself on the European scene, Black headed for Vegas and the World Series of Poker's main event in 1997, where he lost on a bad beat to eventual tournament winner Stu Ungar.
After this tough loss, Black took time off away from the game to pursue his spiritual and personal development. Black resurfaced on the world's poker radar at the 2005 WSOP main event, where he finished seventh and earned a cool $1.7 million. Black also finished third in the 2007 Aussie Millions Championship event.
