Muir Takes the Lead
Oct 11, '14
Kody Muir took the chip lead after taking down a massive pot with quads.
Muir opened to 3,600 from middle position and got a call from the cutoff. The button re-raised to 11,000 and Ed Klein called from the small blind. Muir called, the cutoff folded and the flop came 496.
Action checked to the button and he bet 21,000. Klein quickly moved all-in and Muir did the same.
The small blind looked conflicted, both Muir and Klein had him covered but he’d already dedicated so much of his stack to the pot. He also had a good hand, it was the best preflop, aces.
The small blind eventually folded and Klein tabled an over pair with 1010 while Muir showed a set of fours with 44.
The turn brought a 5 and a 4 came on the river to give Muir quads. Muir doubled up to about 390,000 while Klein was left with about 40,000.

Sosa was drawing dead with his Q10. The J hit the river and Sosa was sent to the rail in 51st place, earning $2,720.

Mike Katz Eliminated, Money Bubble Burst
Oct 14, '14
Kody Muir raised to 22,000 from the cutoff and Kody Muir three-bet to 50,000 on the button. Muir four-bet to just over 100,000 and Katz shoved all in for just over 300,000. Muir shrugged and called and the cards were tabled.
Muir tabled KQ and was in bad shape against Katz’s QQ. The board ran out J932K and Muir rivered a king to take the pot. Katz slammed the table and headed off. There was already an elimination at another table and there is currently a hand going on, so there will be no hand for hand and there is a possibility of more than one person chopping 54th place prize money.
