Local legend Marty Gorenc is on bullet number two today. Gorenc won a satellite last night into the main event, but recently busted and re-entered.
No matter where he finishes, no one can argue Gorenc has not had a great Card Player Poker Tour series at Atlantis. Gorenc started out with a 10th place finish in the $340 no-limit hold’em $50,000 guarantee, then finished second in the $230 no-limit hold’em six-max $10,000 guarantee and first in the $230 no-limit hold’em mega-stack $10,000 guarantee.
Just after re-entering today, Gorenc flopped aces and eights and got his chips all-in against an opponents nines and sixes. A rivered ace only sweetened the deal to give Gorenc a double-up.
