Jeff Madsen may have been put on the short stack this level but that didn’t stop him from throwing some chips around. He shoved the short stack several times before finally being called on his final hand when he ran king-high into the pocket pair of current chipleader Jonathan Cohen.
Jonathan Cohen opened the button for 33,000, Jeff Madsen moved all in for 262,000 from the big blind and Cohen called.
Madsen was all in for his tournament life and trailed before the flop with K10 against Cohen’s 55.

Action Begins, Final Table Now Underway

The final table of Event no. 14 ($1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Shootout) is now underway, and Card Player will be posting level-by-level updates with all of the action, current chip counts, and prize distributions.
The Shootout tournament features a different format than a traditional No-Limit Hold’em event in that players must win their table before moving on. As players win their individual tables, they take those chips with them to the next round where they must win another table and so on, until the final table is reached. Day 3 began with 12 players spread out over 2 tables, and with the elimination of Dylan Hortin in 10th Place ($17,544), the official 9-handed final table is now set. Play will begin in Level 2 with blinds of 4,000-8,000 with a 1,000 ante, and will continue until a winner is determined.
