Chip Leader Wayne Bentley Takes a Hit
Jan 07, '10
Wayne Bentley is still the chip leader for the time being, but he has taken a decent sized hit to his stack here in the early stages of day 2. Bentley raised to 3,200 in middle position and Jason Benjafield called on the button.
The flop came down 963 and Bentley bet 6,000. Benjafield raised to 15,000 and Bentley reraised to 42,000.
Benjafield then moved all in for 83,800 total and Bentley went into the tank. After a few moments, he mucked his cards, saying that he had pocket jacks, but felt that Benjafield hit a set of nines. Benjafield declined to show as he raked in the pot and Bentley’s stack dropped down to 285,000.
