We arrived on the scene to find four players including Seneca Easley looking down at a flop of 7Q8. The first two players checked, allowing the third player to toss out a bet of 400. Easley called, one player folded, and the next player called.
This left three players to see the J drop down on the turn. All three players checked and the A finished off the board. The first player to act fired 500, the original bettor folded, and Easley tossed out a call.
“Two pair,” said Easley’s opponent.
“Me too,” he replied.
Easley’s opponent showed J8 for jacks and eights, but was ultimately behind Easley’s QJ for queens and jacks. Easley took down the pot and is off to a solid start here on Day 1B.
