8, three players got their money in on the flop. Michael Newport held the A6 for top pair and the nut flush draw, and he was up against Joel Woods’ top two with A-9 and Chris Staats’ 107.
The board ran out with a 5x on the turn and the 3 on the river, completing Newport’s nutflush and sending the gigantic 180,000 chip pot his way. Staats was eliminated, and Woods left very short after the hand.
