Emanuele Rugini Doubles Up

Well, that didn’t take long. On the first hand back from break, Claudiu Saizu raised to 97,000 and then Emanuele Rugini moved all in for 826,000 behind him. Saizu wasted no time calling with AA and Rugini was in a lot of trouble with QQ.
However, the board fell Q8652 and Rugini doubled up to 1.7 million with a set of queens. Saizu was left extremely short.

Cladiu Saizu Doubles Up

Jean Francois Talbot raised to 75,000 and Claudiu Saizu moved all in for his last 645,000. Talbot immediately called and showed down pocket tens and he was a sizable favorite over Saizu’s A3.
The board fell 8762A and Saizu spiked a Barry Greenstein to double up to nearly 1.35 million. An excited Saizu shrieked, “I am back in business!”

Jelassi held A7 and was head of Saizu’s Q9. The board fell 53235 and Jelassi doubled up to around 800,000 in chips.

Paul Berende Eliminated in 24th Place

Paul Berende was left crippled on day 3 after doubling up David Sesso on the last hand of the evening. As a result, it didn’t take him very long to get it in preflop holding Q6.
Unfortunately, Claudiu Saizu looked him up with a dominating AQ and Berende was eliminated on an ace high board.
