Las Vegas resident "Miami" John Cernuto is one of the tournament trail's most-feared players. Although he isn't as famous as some of the bigger names in the game, Cernuto has earned the respect of his peers over the course of his long career.
Holding three World Series of Poker bracelets, Cernuto is considered one of the game’s elite Omaha eight-or-better players, but is also well known as a "complete" player, having won several overall player awards.
Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Cernuto holds a degree in finance from Florida State University. Although he has not won a major televised event yet, Cernuto's 2003 victory over 128 of the game's best players at the ParadaisePoker.com World Heads-Up Championship in Austria demonstrated that "Miami" John is a versatile poker professional.
