Steve Landfish Makes Huge Comeback
Steve Landfish started the level as the short stack and lost a big pot to Barry Greenstein right after the break that left him with just 150,000 (3 BBs).
Landfish quickly doubled through Matthew Gallin after getting it all in pre-flop with Q 9 against Gallin’s K 7. Landfish flopped two pair and doubled up.
Landfish then doubled back through Barry Greenstein after getting it all in pre-flop with A 4 against Greenstein’s Q 9. The board missed both players and Landfish moved up to 230,000 with ace-high.
A bit later and Landfish got it all in on a flop of A K 7 with K 8 against Matthew Gallin’s Q Q. Gallin failed to improve and Landfish jumped up to 500,000 this hand.
Landfish let a few other players go at it for a bit and lost a few chips to the blinds, but doubled up once again through Matthew Gallin shortly after. Landfish got it in good with A – 10 against A – 8 and doubled to about 650,000 that hand.
Barry Greenstein then went on to win a huge three-way pot pot that went to a showdown with pocket aces, challenging the chip lead with over 1.3 million. That hand left Landfish with about 400,000, and he quickly used that to bust Domenico Denotaristefani in a crazy hand that saw set over set on the river.

Domenico Denotaristefani button-raised, Steve Landfish reraised the small blind and Denotaristefani called.

Landfish was ahead before the flop but Denotaristefani spiked a four for a set. Landfish however hit the 9 on the river to make a better set and Domenico Denotaristefani was eliminated in 5th place ($94,029).

Denotaristefani was all in on the turn on a ten-high board with an overpair to Landfish’s top pair. The river bricked and Denotaristefani doubled up to 600,000 that hand.
Shortly after Mathhew Gallin got it in good pre-flop with 9 9 against Daniel Idema’s 8 5. Idema missed and Gallin doubled up to about 150,000 to stay alive.
Issac Haxton then doubled through Barry Greenstein after cracking his 10 10 with A 4 on an ace-high flop. Greenstein was ahead when the money went in before the flop, but Haxton outflopped him to double up to about 300,000.
Haxton’s ace brought Greenstein down to about the 500,000 mark when Matthew Gallin doubled through him with quad sevens shortly after. Gallin flopped middle set to Greenstein’s top pair and they got it all in after the second seven hit the turn. Greenstein showed Q – 10 on a ten-high board but Gallin turned over a pair of sevens for quads. Greenstein slipped down to around 330,000 after this hand while Gallin moved up to about 370,000.
Isaac Haxton Eliminated in 7th Place ($55,908)
