Omid Nikzad Doubles Through Melissa Burr

Omid Nikzad raised to 3,000 from early position and Barry Woods called from middle position. Melissa Burr three-bet to 11,100 from the cutoff and Nikzad immediately went all in. Woods folded and Burr asked for a count.
After pulling in the dead money, Burr was facing a 22,500 raise from Nikzad. Burr tossed in a call and the cards were tabled. She was in bad shape with her 77 against Nikzad’s QQ.
The board ran out J54AJ and Nikzad doubled up to 72,600.

Shulman Can Dodge Bullets, Baby

Omid Nikzad moved all in for 275,000 on the turn with the board reading 8852 and Allyn Shulman was in the tank.
“How big is your pair?” asked Shulman.
“Pretty big,” replied Nikzad.
“Mine’s pretty big too,” said Shulman. “If I fold, will you show?”
Nikzad didn’t respond anymore and Shulman spent another two minutes in the tank before folding her hand. Nikzad showed her his AA and Shulman threw her hand up in the air in celebration.
“That’s the second time today I folded queens and another guy had aces.”
The table was in shock she folded queens as she slipped to 475,000. Nikzad chipped up to 520,000.

Omid Nikzad Wins at Showdown, Without a Showdown

Dave Banerjee and Omid Nikzad were heads-up to a flop of QJ3. Both players checked and the dealer peeled off the A on the turn.
Nikzad led out for 10,500 and Banerjee called. The river was the A and Nikzad checked. Banerjee took a few moments and tossed out 22,000. Nikzad quickly reached for chips and called.
“Nice hand,” said Banerjee and he mucked his hand.
Nikzad took the pot and pushed his hand towards the muck face down. Neither hand was shown and Nikzad was awarded the pot. Nikzad chipped up to 370,000 while Banerjee slid to 360,000.
