Katherine Bowen Folds a Straight Flush Draw

Katherine Bowen had quite a decision to make in a recent hand when faced with an opponent’s all-in after a 7 65 flop.
The hand started when Bowen opened to 1,700 from the hijack seat and the small blind three-bet to 5,000. Bowen called and the dealer spread the flop. The small blind snap-moved all in for about 11,600.
Bowen asked for a count and then began to count her own chips in front of her.
“Give me just a second here,” Bowen politely said to the small blind as she determined she was sitting with a stack of about 75,000.
“If you fold I’ll show,” the small blind said.
“Well, I’m pretty sure I know what you have,” she replied.
Bowen decided to fold her hand and the small blind kept his word, showing K K . Bowen laughed and said she had folded a straight-flush draw.

The dealer produced the 5 on the river and Bowen checked once again. Lowery quickly checked it back and mucked her cards after seeing Bowen’s 77 for a flopped full house of sevens full of nines. Bowen took down the pot and now has roughly 26,500 in chips. Lowery, on the other hand, has dropped to about 15,500.
