Oh Leads Day 1B

Day 1b is done and we have our final 10 players.
Young Oh is leading the pack with 604,000, which puts him atop both starting flights.
The player known as DD had the chip lead for a large part of the day but then Oh won a massive four-way all-in near the end of the day to take the lead.
The final 10 players are all that remain from an initial field of 94 players. A few players that took a seat but didn’t end the day include Facebook qualifier Karen Kaufler, Mo Fathipour, Jerry Mansfield and Leonard Lang.
Those players still have another shot at the CPPT title though since there’s still one starting flight that’ll start tomorrow at noon.

Oh Wins Four-Way All-in

It’ll take a while for there to be a larger pot this tournament.
The half-a-million chip, four-way all-in pot started when Peter Hengsakul raised to 15,000 from the hijack and DD re-raised to 25,000 from the cutoff.
Young Oh called from the small blind and Jon Statsinger moved all-in for 71,500 from the big blind.
Hengaskul re-shoved for 140,500 and DD called. Oh called as well and then moved all-in for 69,500 when the flop came 5

The turn brought a 2 and an 8 completed the board.
Oh’s jacks took the pot and Statsinger and Hengsakul were eliminated. The hand put Oh up to 620,000 while DD dipped to 390,000.

On the bubble of the final table we lost Young Oh and Jason Mendelson. Oh finished 11th and the official bubble of the final table belonged to Mendelson. Each player left with $1,240.

Finkel Doubles Through Oh

Leonard Finkel moved all-in for about 100,000 and Young Oh called.
Finkel was at-risk but had Oh’s A6 dominated with A8.
The board ran 73523 and Finkel doubled to 225,000 while Oh dipped to 530,000.

Blinds will start at 5,000 – 10,000 with a 1,000 ante and level will now last 40 minutes. Once we hit the final table, levels will last 60 minutes.
The final 36 are already guaranteed $520 and will be playing for a grand prize of $30,005.
