Andrea Dato had just doubled through Sternberg in a previous hand, leaving him with just 150,000 or roughly five big blinds.
Justin Sternberg open-shoved the short stack before the flop and Anders Meli called.
Sternberg turned over 9 9 for the lead while Meli showed A 10 for the draw.
The board came 9 7 4 8 6, giving Sterberg top set on the flop, but Meli went runner-runner to river the ten-high straight. Justin Sternberg was eliminated in 7th place ($42,059).

Andrea Dato Doubles Through Nick Rampone
Andrea Dato came to the final table as one of the short stacks, but managed to double up through chipleader Nick Rampone about halfway through the level.
Andrea Dato opened the pot for 32,000 from middle position, Nick Rampone shoved from the big blind and Dato called all in.
Rampone turned over 10 10 for a pair while Dato showed Q Q for a higher pair.

Diaz Doubles Through Rampone, Takes Chip Lead
After Andrea Dato doubled through Nick Rampone earlier in the level, David Diaz was left on the short stack with under 500,000 in chips. It wasn’t long before he too got it all in against the chip leader, this time taking the lead for himself.
Nick Rampone opened for a raise from middle position, David Diaz three-bet, Rampone shoved and Diaz called all in.
Rampone showed 6 6 for the lead while Diaz showed A Q for the draw.
The board came 10 5 4 Q 5, giving Diaz top pair on the turn. Diaz doubled up to over 1.2 million this hand while the former chip leader fell down to just under 800,000.
