Card shark David Singer first gained respect from his peers with a ninth-place finish in the 2003 World Series of Poker main event and a sixth-place finish at World Poker Tour Borgata tournament.
Singer proved to the poker community his talent as an all-round player by making the WSOP $50,000 buy-in H.O.R.S.E. event final table in 2006 and 2007. His biggest cash so far came when he won $1 million for first place at the 2007 Caesars Palace Classic main event. Considered one of the best long-time pros around without a WSOP bracelet for many years, Singer crossed his name off that list by winning the 2008 $1,500 buy-in pot-limit hold'em event. He won just over $214,000.
Before poker, Singer was an attorney for a nonprofit environmental organization, but it wasn’t long before he realized his talents lay at the tables. Having started playing in 1996, Singer is considered a top seven-card stud player in addition to his tournament play.
