Dale Pinchot Doubles Through Jason MercierOct 25, '10 We missed some of the action, but were able to get bits and pieces from Keven Stammen, who was also at the table. There was a raise and a three-bet preflop and both Jason Mercier and Dale Pinchot saw a flop of AK7. Both players checked and the turn was the 6. Pinchot bet 1,700 and Mercier called. The river was the J and Mercier led for 5,350. Pinchot then moved all in for 15,150 more and after a few minutes of thought, Mercier made the call. Pinchot showed AK for two pair and Mercier mucked. Mercier was knocked down to 58,000, while Pinchot moves up to 46,000. Player Tags: Dale Pinchot, Jason Mercier |

Level 3 Update: Eli Elezra EliminatedMay 31, '09 Blinds: 50-100 Players Remaining: 2,500 out of 3,021 Notable Eliminations: Eli Elezra Big Hands: Eli Elezra is Eliminated After a early position raise and a call by another player, Eli Elezra shipped the rest of his stack into the pot. The initial raiser folded to Elezra’s all-in, but the other opponent eventually made the call of 1,350 total with pocket nines. Elezra tabled a dominated under-pair of pocket sixes and was looking to get lucky to double up to the starting amount. The board ran out without any help for Elezra and he was eliminated. Nick Binger Tries to Make Something Happen The action folds around to Nick Binger who raises to 300 from the small blind and the player in the big blind calls the raise. The flop comes QQ10, Binger bets 400 and the big blind calls. The turn is the Q, and both players check. The river is the A, and this time Binger checks to the big blind who bets 1,500. Binger thinks for a minute before folding. After this hand Binger is left with just under 10,000 in chips, a healthy stack for the time being. Negreanu Out-Flopped, Opponent Doubles Through After a series of pre-flop raises, Negreanu puts the player on the button to the test by reraising enough to put him all in. The button calls and both players turn over their cards. Negreanu turns over the best hand, QQ while his opponent shows K10. The board comes AK577, giving Negreanu’s opponent a pair of kings on the flop. He doubles through Negreanu, leaving the PokerStars pro with just about 2,400 in chips after this hand. John Phan Makes a Good Laydown The player on the button raises to 400 and John Phan calls from the small blind. The flop comes KJ7, and Phan bets 400. The button raises to 1,200 and Phan thinks for a minute before folding 99 face-up. His opponent shows AA and rakes the pot. After this ahnd Phan is down to 4,600 in chips. Dale Pinchot vs. Peter Feldman With just about 1,000 already in the pot on a board of KJ23, Dale Pinchot bets 625 and Peter Feldman calls. The river is the 10, and this time Pinchot bets 700. Feldman folds, leaving himself with 1,100 in chips while Pinchot rakes the pot and brings his stack up to 3,500 this hand. His opponent in seat 8 went into the tank before finally calling. Fricke immediately flipped over the nuts of 77. His opponent sheepishly turned over the 99 and needed runner, runner perfect to eliminate the 2007 Aussie Millions runner-up. Dale Pinchot Gets Pot-Comitted On a flop of J109, the player in seat 4 bets 350 and Dale Pinchot raises to 950. The player in seat 9 moves all in behind him for a total of 1,325. The original bettor folds and Pinchot calls the 425 raise. Pinchot show J10 for top two pair, but seat 9 turns over 1010 for middle set. The turn and river are the K and the 9, no help for Pinchot who is left with 1,800 after this hand. Phil Ivey Flops Flush, Is Eliminated On The River Holding the 108, Phil Ivey got it all-in on the flop of AJ7 against the set of jacks of Nick Derke. The turn didn’t pair the board, however the A on the river gave Derke a full house and eliminated the 5-time bracelet winner. Jacobo Fernandez Eliminated With 525 already in the pot on a flop of J74, first to act, Jacobo Fernandez checks to the player in seat 6 who bets 400. Fernandez raises to 1,025, leaving himself with just 700 behind. Seat 6 tanks before putting Fernandez all in; Fernandez is covered. Fernandez calls and turns over QQ for the overpair while seat 6 shows 87 for middle pair. The turn is the 8, giving seat 6 two pair and the 3 on the river sends Fernandez to the rail half-way through Level 2. Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi Eliminated After raising to 125 pre-flop with the 108, Michael Mizrachi saw a flop of 854 with three other players. Action was checked to Mizrachi who moved all in for about 1,000 total. Hands were folded until an opponent snap called with pocket fours, for bottom set. The turn of the 7 put The Grinder ahead, but his opponent filled up on the river as a five fell. Just like Ivey, The Grinder was eliminated with a flush against a rivered full house. Left In The Deck: The $1,000 tournament, the largest non-main event field in the history of poker, has been closed for registration.
