Ryan Welch Claims To Fold Kings Preflop
Jul 18, '16
We didn’t catch the action, but there wasn’t much in the pot and there was a 2,500 bet sitting in front of Ryan Welch.
His opponent, Gennady Kalin, moved all in, having Welch covered. Welch had 18,700 behind, and seemed very perplexed by the big shove. After a little while in the tank, Welch folded what he claimed was pocket kings, seemingly not interested in being coolered on level 1 of this tournament.
Only Kalin knows whether the fold was correct or not, and he’s not giving anything away, but he’s either very happy he got kings to fold, or is silently tilted for not getting the double up.
