Chad Fincher Scores Big With Nut Flush
Aug 05, '12
Over on table 16, Chad Fincher found himself all in for his last 73,600 on a board reading J 9 6 K holding A 3 for the nut flush.
One of his opponents, Jason Brewer, was all in for an additional 46,800 holding a set of jacks. L.J. McBride had both players covered, holding a set of nines.
The river was the 5 and Fincher tripled up to somewhere in the neighborhood of 240,000. Brewer won the side pot to take a decent hit down to 93,000, while McBride, who recently won a massive pot with Q-9 high, was left with just 58,000.

L.J McBride Wins Massive Pot With Nine High Kicker
Aug 05, '12
Well, here’s a weird one told to us by the remaining players on table 16.
On a flop of A K J, after a series of bets and raises, Mohammad Arani and Bryan Moon found themselves all in against L.J. McBride.
Arani and Moon held Q 7 and 6 3 for flush draws. McBride? He had Q 9 after mistakenly thinking that he held a flush draw.
Incredibly, the board ran out 2-4 with no spades, giving McBride the massive pot with just Q-9 high. Moon and Arani were eliminated and McBride chipped up to 200,000. “It’s how I planned it the whole time,” joked McBride.
