Well, here’s a weird one told to us by the remaining players on table 16.
On a flop of A
K J, after a series of bets and raises, Mohammad Arani and Bryan Moon found themselves all in against L.J. McBride.
Arani and Moon held Q 7 and 6 3 for flush draws. McBride? He had Q 9 after mistakenly thinking that he held a flush draw.
Incredibly, the board ran out 2-4 with no spades, giving McBride the massive pot with just Q-9 high. Moon and Arani were eliminated and McBride chipped up to 200,000. “It’s how I planned it the whole time,” joked McBride.
