Will Augenstein Takes One Down
Apr 28, '18
Will Augenstein got off to an incredible start, shooting into the chip lead in the early levels. The field has since caught up with him, and his stack has also has slipped a bit. That being said, he just took down a multi-way pot to keep above the six-figure mark.
Augenstein raised to 2,500 from middle position and received calls from the cutoff, the button and the big blind. The flop brought the K109 and the big blind checked. Augenstein fired a sizable bet of 12,000 and received no callers. He had flopped the nuts with the QJ, which he showed as he raked in the chips and grew his stack to 112,000.

An Incredible Start For Will Augenstein
Apr 28, '18
We just walked by Will Augenstein’s table to discover him sitting on a massive stack of 130,000. That’s more than five times his starting stack here in the early going on level 3, and would be nearly good enough for a top 10 stack based on last nights bagged numbers.
When asked how he managed to build up to such a healthy chip count, Augenstein replied, “Four bustouts in about 45 minutes.”
According to Augenstein, his first big pot came when he flopped a Broadway straight holding J-10. His two opponents in the hand held a set of queens and top two pair. Augenstein wound up making a flush to score the double knockout and the huge pot.
His next knockout came with the 25, turning a straight against a turned set of sixes. Then, with J10, he managed to turn a flush when another player turned two pair.
Needless to say, Augenstein is our early chip leader here on day 1B.
