Level 26 Update: Griffin Leads at Dinner Break; Jolly 9th ($18,837)Jun 03, '12 Level: 26 Blinds: 15,000-30,000 Players Remaining: 8 out of 967 Average Chip Count: 543,937 Chip Counts: Seat no. 1 — Herbert Tapscott — 65,000 Seat no. 7 — Gavin Griffin — 1,250,000 Players Eliminated: Bryan Jolly — 9th Place ($18,837) Live Updates: Bryan Jolly Eliminated in 9th Place ($18,837) Bryan Jolly came into the final table with the chip lead but could’t get anything going tonight and was slowly chopped down to the short stack when he got quartered in a big showdown against Can Kim Hua. That hand knocked Jolly down to under 200,000 (6 bbs) and he was eliminated shortly after. On his final hand, Jolly was all in with a pocket pair of aces on a flop of KJ10. Jolly led on the flop with AA52 for the overpair but would need to dodge a lot of bullets to fade Hua’s hand with AK32. Hua had made a pair of kings on the flop with the nut flush draw and a gutshot. The turn and river were the 2 and the J, giving Hua a flush to win the pot and eliminate Bryan Jolly in 9th place ($18,837). The remaining 8 players took a one hour dinner break at the conclusion of Level 26 and will return at approximately 9:20pm local time to resume play. Butler and Davis had a few exchanges early on, but Butler got the best of Davis this level after winning a showdown with a full house. Ashly Butler opened the pot for 50,000 from middle position, Raymond Davis three-bet to 75,000 from late position, and Butler called. Both players checked to the river on a board of KK9A7, where Butler bet 50,000 and Davis called. Butler showed AA for a full house and raked the pot. That hand put Butler at around 700,000 while Davis slipped down below 400,000. Can Kim Hua Steals the Chip Lead Shortly after Ashly Butler took the chip, Can Kim Hua found his momentum and stole the lead for himself after rivering a flush and the nut low in a big showdown against Bryan Jolly. Bryan Jolly raised the button, Can Kim Hua three-bet to 75,000 from the big blind, and Jolly called. The flop came 864, Hua checked, Jolly bet 25,000 and Hu a called. The turn was the 7, Hua checked, Jolly bet 50,000, Hua raised to 1000,000 and Jolly called the check-raise. The river was the A, Hua bet 50,000 and Jolly called. Hua showed AKJ2 for the nut flush and the nut low, scooping the pot from Jolly and taking the chip lead for himself that hand with just over 700,000.
