Michael Fitzgerald, champion of the Event 1 here at the Card Player Poker Tour Choctaw, has been eliminated from the main event. Fitzgerald got his last chips in preflop with 87 against an opponents AJ and failed to improve.
Fitzgerald took home $33,779 for topping the 936-entry field last week in Event 1. The $181,584 prize pool for that event blew away the $100,000 guarantee for the $235 no-limit hold’em re-entry event.
