Mark Tippmann Climbs Chip Counts, Eliminates Barry Woods
Oct 13, '14
Action folded to Barry Woods on the button, who raised to 5,200. Mark Tippmann defended his big blind and they saw a flop of 843. Tippman led out for 7,000, Woods raised to 20,000, and Tippman quickly put out a stack of 5,000 denomination chips which covered the last of Woods’ 60,000 chip stack.
Woods quickly called and tabled Q8. He was in the lead against Tippman’s Q4, giving him middle pair and a flush draw. The turn was the 6, which kept Woods in the lead, but the river was the K, filling Tippman’s flush and eliminating Woods in the process.
Tippman cracked the 300,000 mark with that pot and was up to 342,000 in chips.
