George Laszlo has come a long way from his home in Hungary to play in today’s tournament. Laszlo won his seat through a satellite tournament last night and it so happens this is his first major tournament ever.
Laszlo, a successful owner of call centers throughout the world, said he decided to take up poker at this time in his life because several factors all fell into place perfectly.
“My kids are grown and my business is doing well, so this seemed like a good time,” he said.
Laszlo plans to play other major tournaments in the United States and Europe following today’s tournament.
