Martov Doubles Through, Cripples Chae
Mar 21, '13
Gheorgui Martov has doubles through and crippled Tom Chae.
Ben Palmer raised to 16,000 from middle position, Chae re-raised to 125,000 form the hijack seat and Martov called from the big blind. Palmer folded his hand and Martov and Chae saw a flop of 1062.
Martov bets 50,000, Chae raises to 200,000 and Martov calls. The turn is the 3 and Martov announces he is all in for 246,000.
Chae takes a few moments to think things over before making the call. Martov flips over JJ and is way ahead of Chae’s 88.
“It’s ok,” Chae says. “The river is going to be an eight.”
But the river is not an eight, the river card is the A and Martov doubles up.
Martov now has about 1,223,000 and Chae is down to just 33,000.
