Ted Gillis Eliminated in 23rd Place ($6,510)
Aug 03, '14
Ted Gillis and Austin Lewis looked down at a QT2 flop. Gillis had first action and came out swinging for 80,000. Lewis announced a raise to 200,000 only to have Gillis three-bet ship for what looked to be around 540,000. Lewis instantly called and the hands were turned over.
Gillis: 42
Lewis: KK
Lewis led with his kings but Gillis had many outs to improve and take the lead in the hand. Unfortunately for the WSOP bracelet winner, he failed to improve on the Q turn or the T river. Gillis hit the rail and Lewis increased his chip lead to about 1.78 million.
