Jesse Hollander has a mean poker face, but it doesn’t scare Bob Beck. With a decent sized pot already in the middle of the felt and the board reading A542, Hollander checked from the small blind. Beck cut out a bet of 12,000 and Hollander let go of his hand.

Beck check-called Dabscha’s 4,000 bet and the early position player got out of the hand. The river was the 9 and Beck check-folded to Dabscha’s 4,000 bet.

Bob Beck Doubles Up

Action folded back around to middle position and he took a few moments to think about his options.
“He didn’t snap-call,” Beck said. “So I must be ahead.”
Middle position then called and tabled 88.
“Oh, I am behind,” Beck said as he turned over AQ.
Beck quickly took the lead after a Q104 flop and doubled as the board ran out 69.
