With a board of 744 the player in the hijack bet 4,000 and Todd Whitaker raised to 9,000. The hijack called and the turn brought the 8. The hijack bet out 15,500 and after plenty of thought Whitaker moved all-in for 43,400 total.
The hijack then went into the tank, eventually choosing to fold. With that Whitaker earned the sizable pot without showdown.

Schneider Backs Into a Flush

Jess Schneider check-called 13,600 from Todd Whitaker on the turn with the board reading 8745. The dealer burned and turned the Q on the river and Schneider checked again. Whitaker bet 15,200 and Schneider snap-called and tabled 109, good for a flush. Whitaker dropped his head and mucked his hand.
Schneider chips up to 132,000, while Whitaker drops to 57,000.

Todd Whitaker raised to 8,000 from under-the-gun and was three-bet to 22,000 by Edward Gilfillan from the hijack. The flop was Q88 and Whitaker check-called 30,000 from Gilfillan. The turn was the 6 and Whitaker checked again. Gilfillan bet 53,000 and after a few moments, Whitaker moved all in for 83,000.
Gilfillan quickly called and showed AA and was was well ahead of Whitaker’s JJ. The river was the 9 and Gilfillan sent Whitaker to the rail.
