On a flop of 1099, Shawn Bowen checked from the big blind and Dave DiBernardi bet 2,500 from the cutoff and Bowen check-raised to 8,000. DiBernardi called.

The turn was the 7 and Bowen checked. DiBernardi bet 10,000 and Bowen moved all in. DiBernardi called and was all in for about 40,000.

DiBernardi showed JJ and was in the lead against Bowen’s A10. The table let out a groan as the 10 came on the river to give Bowen a full house and eliminate DiBernardi.

The flop was 876 and DiBernardi checked. The big blind bet 3,000 and the button called. DiBernardi check-raised to 8,700 and the big blind immediately moved all in. The button folded and Dibernardi quickly called.

DiBernardi showed A3 and had the big blind’s QQ drawing to runners. The turn was the 6, giving the big blind some outs, but the river was the 7 and DiBernardi won the pot.

The dealer broke down the stacks and verified that the big blind had DiBernardi slightly covered. DiBernardi was all in on the flop was 28,200 and becomes one of the biggest stacks in the tournament.
