Day 1A Comes to a Close

Day 1A at the CPPT bestbet Jacksonville Main Event has ended with 15 players advancing from the 80 that entered on Friday here in Florida. The largest stack among the survivors is Jess Snyder with 184,600. Other big names to make it through include Corey Burbick, Zo Karim, Sean Winter, and previous runner-up here in Jacksonville Timothy Miles.
Now they will all have to wait until Sunday though, because Saturday will see a new starting field for Day 1B in this $1,500 buy-in $300,000 guaranteed event. Tune back in at noon ET to follow the lives updates, chip counts, photos, and videos from bestbet Jacksonville.

A player in the hijack seat raised to 1,000 and Jess Snyder three-bet to 4,400 from the small blind. The big blind four-bet to 12,500. The hijack called, Snyder moved all-in for 50,800, the big blind folded and the hijack called for less.

Jess Snyder limped preflop on the small blind and Sean Winter checked on the big blind. The flop was dealt KJ3 and Snyder check-called a bet of 21,000 from Winter.
The turn fell 10 and Snyder checked again. Winter bet 50,000 and Snyder raised all in. Winter called and they flipped over their cards.

Erik Christensen raised to 21,000 from under the gun +1 and Jess Snyder called from the small blind. The flop was dealt Q72 and Snyder check-called Christensen’s bet of 32,000. The turn was the 10 and both players checked. The river was the J and Snyder bet 46,000. Christensen called and the hands were tabled.
“Ace,” Snyder said and rolled over A5.
“Two pair,” Christensen replied as he showed J10 to take the pot.

Kevin Baker raised to 16,000 from the button and Jess Synder called from the big blind. The flop was 986 and both players checked to the turn of the 7. Snyder then bet 21,000 and Baker called to see the 3 on the river. Snyder bet 21,000 again and Baker called. Snyder showed J7 was but dominated by Baker’s AA.

Erik Christensen raised to 12,000 from under the gun+1 and Jess Snyder called from the cutoff. Konstantinos Pantaridis called from the button and the flop was 943. All three checked to the turn of 3. Pantaridis checked again, Christensen bet 20,000, Snyder callded and Pantaridis got out of the way. The river was the 9 and both players checked. The hands were tabled with Christensen showing A2 and Snyder showing AJ for a chopped pot.
