Michael Watson of Toronto, Canada, started his poker career online as "SirWatts." He grinded out a bankroll for years while attending college and began making major tournament cashes.
At the 2007 World Series of Poker, he cashed five times. Then, at the 2008 Bellagio Cup IV, Watson made the World Poker Tour televised final table as chip leader. He fought through a table full of pros to win the nearly $1.7 million first-place prize and his first major title.
