The first level of today's pot limit omaha event is now over and the blinds are going up to $50-$100. There are over 600 players in today's field with a lot of big time players making an appearance. Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi just took a seat at Freddy Deeb's table and across the Amazon Room you can make out Robert Williamson III, David Williams, Marcel Luske, Andy Black, Nam Le, Thomas Wahlroos, Erick Lindgren, Huck Seed and David "Devilfish, Ulliot just to name a few.
Eric Seidel and Phil Gordon couldn't make it through the first round and after being eliminated Seidel was overheard saying, "Well, taking the day off", hinting that he would not be playing in the World Championship $5,000 Seven Card Stud eight-or-better event starting at 5 p.m. Gordon was eliminated when he was all in short stacked against his opponent who had two aces in the hole. Gordon was only able to pair his jack on the flop and was eliminated.
